1936-1938 Popular Edition Number 8

There are 2 slight variations which is a light or dark silver toned "V" in the center of the box. Each Variation has 2 Board types. This version was manufactured from 1936 to 1938.

As with the other early versions of the game, the metal tokens were made by the Dowst Manufacturing Company. These early die cast tokens were manufactured with a Zinc alloy called Zamak. It is also referred to as Pot Metal or White Metal. The dark oxidation, which is very common with many of the early tokens (1935-1938), was a result of impurities in the manufacturing process. By the late 1930s these impurities were eliminated.
